Gnome Homes

Gnome homes make an ideal gift for any occasion and especially for the garden enthusiast.

Each home we craft has a wooden door with a wood burned design or a charm affixed. The door is then trimmed with a rustic stick doorframe and adorned with moss. A colored glass bead or two serve as windows.

Different roof styles include round roofs and peaked roofs. Round roofs, made from recycled metal or tin have birch bark “shingles” that are glued on or pebbles that are pressed into an adhesive. These are then coated with a resin to provide protection from the elements.

Peak roofs are made from a composite material and come with birch bark “shingles” or grouted with decorative dishes. Corrugated tin or painted green tin is also a popular option.

Each home is fitted with a copper stove pipe, some plastic green foliage and small flowers and then securely attached to a base (cross section of a tree) with either a twig or pebble pathway, one or two rocks, a pinecone or two and a few resin mushrooms. This is then sprayed with two coats of a clear sealer.

Finally, an adorable gnome is glued to the base and the home is ready to bring a bit of fairy tale charm to your home or garden.

Although these homes can weather the outdoors, it is recommended to place under a covered porch or brought into the garage or shed during rainy or snowy seasons.
